In this video we take a look at the lastest Fly App and Firmware update for the Dji Mini 3 Pro. The App is version 1.6.8 the latest Mini 3 firmware version is V01.00.0201. I did experience the app locking up at one point. It did give us the portrait mode QuickShots and FocusTrack as…

  1. Hi Marcus. I've noticed the FPV screen unfroze in the background as soon as you switched to normal mode on the controller, just before killing the app. Maybe it's just a coincidence? Anyways this should not happen especially on the RC controller. Thanks for all your reviews, they are very helpful!

  2. A great demonstration of an experienced pilot to not panic and to RTH with VLOS and knowledge of the controls even without seeing the picture on the RC. Good video. Thanks Marcus.

  3. Same issue with the DJI RC screen locking up. I think the screen recordings are killing the DJI RC processor in this new version of the DJI fly app.

  4. Hi Marcus UAV Forecast still doesn’t have the correct satellites i.e. BeiDou on it so it’s not accurate yet for the mini 3 and the Mavic 3 but I’ve spoken to APPLE and they are looking into it because they’ve had the updates the App developer has told me he has sent them but they’ve not put them on where does Google have so android phones are up-to-date

  5. Thanks for the heads up. Updating my drone now. Hopefully everything goes well…
If you quick press power button on RC it puts screen to sleep and "sometimes" clears up frozen screens without re=booting controller. Just press again and screen re-appears. You can do this while flying , You temporarily lose pic on screen recording but not telemetry.
Anyway it's good to use when transferring screen recording or whatever to computer via cable.

  6. I've said this over and over… I know DJI includes this as a feature but screen recording is somewhat resource intense. The RM330, much like the original Smart Controller, just doesn't have the best chipset. You're asking for glitches and hick-ups! Hopefully, with optimization updates, they can clean this up some. good video!

  7. HELLO SIR
I M VERY LIKE YOUR PRESENTATION ITS JUST SIMPLE AND UNDER STANDARD FOR EVERY ONE AND I HOPE TO MAKE ANOTHER VIDEO FOR THE DJI MINI 3 BECAUSE ALL THE TIME YOU USE WHAT YOU CALL IT A RADAR ITS LOOKS DIFFERENT AND U CAN CHANGE BETWEEN THE HOME POINT AND THE DRONE IN POSITION IN THE RADAR AND ALSO IT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT DIRECTION FOR THE RC AND THE SIGNAL WHEN YOU CHANGE YOUR POSITION TO THE DRONE AND IT GIVE YOU 2 COLOR THE BLUE AND GREEN ACCORDING TO THE STRENGTH OF THE SIGNAL I HOPE FOR YOU THE BEST & THANX AGAIN AND BE SAFE.

  8. Seeing your freeze up on the DJI RC is enough for me to leave mine grounded, at least for this weekend. I've seen others have the same issue, so I suspect there is a "bug" in the current release for the controller. Thanks for leaving the screen recording in your video.

  9. Marcus, i appreciate your review of the update; i also had watched Henrik’s with the screen lockup as well. I’m installing the update as of now; i plan on checking out the problems you and Henrik have had, later today. Thx for your review.

  10. Thanks for the video. That freezing up would annoy me to death. I still use the osmo action cam, it has never given me a problem. Thanks for sharing this Marcus.

  11. Hi Marcus, a very nice video of some of the features of the Mini 3. IMO getting a new drone just after introduction seems to always put a pilot on the bloody edge of technology. A more prudent approach is to wait at least six months after a new drone in introduced before considering buying the drone. Then most of the bugs have been worked out. The Mavic 3 and Autel Nano+ are prime examples.
